Karabo Tlhake is the founder and principal of Modiga Med. He began his career in the healthcare industry in 2011, as a humble assistant invoicing clerk. Soon thereafter, he was identified for his skilled customer service operations and moved into sales.
His success in marketing, sales and procurement led to sales management of key areas. With a demonstrated history of working in both the public and private markets distributing surgical consumables, disposables, devices and niche equipment, Karabo has consolidated his years of experience into this new venture - ModigaMed.

Modiga Med is a BBBEE Level 1 company, founded by Karabo Thlake, in early 2023, with the purpose of providing the South African consumable market with first-class service. While the consumables industry remains price-sensitive and highly competitive, Modiga Med has distinguished itself with unflinchingly high standards, insisting on meeting every order that comes its way, precisely and speedily.
This ethos has facilitated rapid growth from humble beginnings, earning the company its first provincial tender within mere months of its inception.
The company focuses its efforts on servicing the public markets in North West, Eastern Cape, Mpumalanga and Gauteng, with the expectations of entering the markets in KZN, Limpopo and Free State in the coming year.
Modiga Med is also a registered vendor at various private health groups, where we have differentiated ourselves with our high-quality stock and rapid delivery.
